Library of Things: Seed Library

A guide to the non-traditional items available for checking out at the Milton Public Library

Seed packets are now available. We are currently accepting seed donations.

Note  - our Seed Library is open to all library users. You do not need a library card nor are required to be a Milton resident to participate.

The Seed Library was started as part of the Milton Grows initiative (2022-2023) at the MPL. Thank you to the Friends of the Milton Public Library for their generosity in continuing to support our Seed Library.

Seed Library

A Seed Library is a collection of seeds that community members may "check out," take home and plant in their gardens. Seed packets (up to 5 packets per patron, please) are available during the spring and early summer for sign-out near the second floor Reference Desk. We are currently accepting seed donations.

We'd love pictures of your bounty grown from MPL seeds. Send to: mplseedlibrary@gmail.com

The Seed Library is supported by the generosity of the Friends of the Milton Public Library.

Milton Grows Resources

Milton Grows was a year-long initiative (September 2022 - September 2023) of the Milton Public Library, focused on gardening and sustainability

Milton Grows was funded by the federal Library Services and Technology Act, administered by the Massachusetts Board of Library Commissioners, and supported by our partners Sustainable Milton and the Friends of the Milton Public Library.
